A PSD extension does not guarantee editable words. Text can be a real type layer, painted into pixels, hidden inside another document, or formatted in a way this small tool cannot safely redraw.
Start with the symptom below. PSDFlow edits supported text and exports PNG; it cannot reconstruct a text layer from pixels or replace smart-object content.
No text layers appear
Rasterized text: the lettering is part of an image layer. It no longer carries characters or font settings. Ask for the original file with editable type layers, or recreate the lettering in a full editor.
A smart object: the text may belong to the object’s embedded or linked document. Open that object in a compatible full editor and modify its source. This tool does not open nested documents for text editing.
A hidden layer or group: PSDFlow lists visible text only. Check the template’s visibility in an editor or ask for the visible version you need.
Downloading the saved picture is still a separate task. Convert the PSD to PNG if you only need the current image.
“Missing original font” appears
The PSD records a font identity, but it does not necessarily embed the font file. Obtain the matching original TTF or OTF and load it with Load original font. Then click Apply text again.
An unrelated font or the wrong weight does not count as the original font. The requirement prevents a silent replacement that can move line breaks, spacing or the baseline. You need permission to use any font you load; PSDFlow does not provide commercial fonts.
If the font cannot be read, choose a valid TTF/OTF smaller than 20 MiB. If you cannot obtain it, change the font deliberately in a full editor and review the new layout there.
The font is present, but new characters fail
A font can contain Latin letters but lack Chinese, Arabic or other characters. PSDFlow rejects missing glyphs rather than hiding them or silently using a fallback font. Use characters covered by the original font, or switch fonts in a full editor that exposes that choice.
A layer reports unsupported formatting
This version does not modify vertical or warped text. Mixed character styles and mixed paragraph styles are also blocked, because replacing text could erase formatting decisions.
For an ordinary horizontal layer that is accepted, inspect the preview anyway: paragraph wrapping, antialiasing and layer effects may differ after reflow. The PhotoCraft comparison includes visible paragraph/effects differences.
The whole document is rejected

These limits describe PSDFlow’s current adapter, not all capabilities of the complete PhotoCraft editor.
The download button is disabled
Apply the draft first. The previous preview remains visible while you type, but its PNG is not your unapplied text. A failed edit does not make the draft downloadable. Resolve the message or restore the current layer’s applied text.
Restore original discards all edits and drafts and recovers the saved image, including when older undo steps have expired. If processing or engine loading stalls, use Cancel task, then choose the PSD again. An engine download failure can also be retried by choosing the file again.
Start with a known working sample
Open the text editor and click Try poster example. Its separate Date and Price layers use the bundled Inter font. Follow the date-and-price guide to confirm the workflow before trying your own template.
